eMAG Marketplace launch and management

A laptop showing a product page, a box, a calculator and papers with handwritten options.

For brands that already sell online and want eMAG as an additional channel, without hiring for it. I take the channel from seller account to ads, in a controlled sequence, and I tell you before we start whether your catalogue is a fit.

When eMAG makes sense, and when it doesn't

eMAG works for catalogues with a healthy gross margin, products that ship well and categories where the commission leaves room to advertise. It does not work for thin margins, bulky low-value items or products with no search demand on the platform. The first thing I do is check your numbers against these criteria. If the channel is not viable, I say so before any contract is signed.

How the work is structured

  • Step 1. Feasibility: Sales by category, margin after commission and shipping, demand on eMAG, competitors already listed. Output: a shortlist of what to list first and a go/no-go.
  • Step 2. Setup: Seller account, product feed structure, category and attribute mapping, listing in prioritised waves, shipping and returns configuration. Technical integration with your ERP is handled as consultancy: I write the specification, your IT or a connector provider implements it.
  • Step 3. Management: Listing optimisation, stock and order monitoring, seller rating, relationship with the eMAG account manager, eMAG Ads strategy and optimisation, monthly report on sales, margin and cost per order.
  • Step 4. 90-day checkpoint: Based on real data we decide together: move to Fulfilment by eMAG, extend the catalogue, or stop.

What I bring

I have launched six brands on eMAG Marketplace from zero: seller account, listing, account management and eMAG Ads. For the brands I currently manage, eMAG is a significant share of online revenue, not a side channel. I know how the platform ranks sellers, what the account manager can and cannot do, and where money is lost in the first months.

What is included and what is not

  • Included: feasibility analysis, account setup, feed specification, listing in waves, account management, eMAG Ads management, monthly reporting, 90-day FBE decision.
  • Not included: the eMAG Ads budget itself (paid by you directly to eMAG), technical development of the ERP export, product photography, warehouse operations.

Frequently asked questions

  • FBE or own shipping? Both work. We start with the option that fits your logistics and decide on FBE after 90 days of real data.
  • How many products at launch? Enough to test the categories with the best potential, then waves. A full catalogue on day one is rarely the right move.
  • Can a company registered outside Romania sell on eMAG? Yes, an EU company with a VAT number can. Invoicing, VAT and returns need to be set up correctly first.
  • How long until the first sale? Depends on category and pricing. The setup phase typically takes six to eight weeks to the first active wave.
